Welcome to the Chornitzer house - luxurious accommodation in Telč
Our luxurious pension is situated in the historical heart of the town Telč and it is the integral part of the most picturesque square of our country, the Zachariáš of Hradec square. The square itself is created by 71 houses that were built on Gothic pieces of land mostly before 1530. The typical character of the square is made by the arcades constructed around the whole square approximately in the middle of the 16th century. The called Italian artists helped to rebuild the Gothic habitations into neat houses with gables and arcades. The Baroque making-up of the town took place till the middle of the 18th century. In that time the most of the lovely Baroque house facades on the square were created. Our house got its name after Martin Ignác Chornitzer and his wife Marie Anna, who acquired the house on 27.9.1747.
Mr. Chornitzer was a noble and pious man and he was the director of the manor house of Telč for long years. He and his descendants lived in the house till 1897 and they have merit in the current house beauty to the highest extent. The house adaptation into the apartment type accommodation Telč was done in 2009. Thanks to a sensible restoration we succeeded to create extremely spacious apartments with modern interior being in contrast to the ancient house history. During the house restoration we made a big effort not to disturb the spirit of the house and to provide our guests with indispensable comfort, family atmosphere and an undisturbed stay.

In the Chortnitzer house there are 4 extraordinaly spacious and comfortable apartments with total capacity of 10 beds with the possibility of 4 additional beds. All the apartments are modernly furnished and equipped with kitchen including all necessary home appliances, living room, dining and bed room, LCD TV, satellite, Internet connection, mini bar, hair dryer, umbrella, basic information about Telč and surroundings as well as themed pictures. The attic apartments are equipped with air condition. There is a private shower bath and WC in each apartment. Additionally in the apartment No. 2, you can find a bath tub in the bed room and in the apartment No. 4 a massage bath tub, a movie theatre and a fireplace.
For the relaxation of our guests, the garden shall serve with a terrace where you can sit for a while under an „umbrella“ or in the „barn“ having a barbecue with an unforgettable view of the Štěpnický pond. We are ready to provide you with a qualified advice for the organization of your leisure time. The wine lovers will not reject the possibility to degust Moravian wines from the private vinothek of the house owners.
